Barwon Health North represents a healthier future for people living in the northern suburbs of Geelong.

The Victorian Government has invested $33 million into the northern suburbs of Geelong to provide a state-of-the-art flexible health facility to meet the growing needs of the community. The health of families and children is a top priority and building world-leading health facilities is one of the many ways the Victorian Government is building a healthy Victoria.

Barwon Health North is located on the corner of Cox Road and Princes Highway. This location was chosen after listening to the community, consulting with user groups and working with stakeholders.

The new two-storey facility will provide high quality, accessible healthcare close to home and to public transport.

Barwon Health North will bridge a gap between the community health setting and the acute setting at University Hospital Geelong by providing the following services:

  • Urgent Care Services
  • Medical Imaging
  • Child and Family Services
  • Healthy at Home (Chronic and Complex Care)
  • Dialysis
  • Specialist Clinics

Barwon Health's Corio Community Health Centre will continue to operate as normal.

Barwon Health North is expected to open January 2020.
